Unlike traditional griots who place their voices against the rhythms of the balafon and the kora strings, she sings accompanied by the acoustic guitar of her husband Ngou Bagayogo, playing original compositions inspired by didadi, a rhythm that intertwines djembe’s dry clappings with the deaf beating of the doudoumba. She orchestrates the rhythm, mixing percussion, brass, guitars and drums and surrounding herself with backing singers.
