One of the most raw and authentic sounding dub albums I have heard in a long time. Containing a perfect balance of experimentalism and roots, it’s a record that sounds like it was recorded using all analog gear in a small studio in Jamaica by one of the leading sound system engineers of the 60′s, 70′s and 80′s. Legendary producer Bill Laswell teams up with the new talented composer David Solid Gould to bring very beautiful sounds that take me to where all the greatest reggae and dub albums I have heard have taken me. Bill Laswell has worked with so many in his tenure and he only continues to show why his world pallet runs as deep as it does. The Congos, Lee “Scratch” Perry, Augustus Pablo, Yabby You, King Tubby to so many more, you hear it all in this record. Tzadik wrote some words on this album which we included below.
